Whenever I have the occasion to drive through Stillwater NY, I love to pull into Blockhouse Park to check out the Hudson River.   This time I was understandably drawn to get out of the car and take few photos.

It was fun to work with such a different palette than I tend towards, and to have another go at the sun behind a backlit tree.

***The painting was awarded 1st place in Adirondack Artist Guild's 28th Annual Juried Exhibition! March 2026, Saranac Lake, NY

***And was awarded 1st place in Medford Arts Water Reflections Juried Exhibition!  July 2026, Medford NJ
